I know, I know I’m a little early. Today is my mom’s birthday. She is such an amazing woman. I can only hope to one day be half the perosn that she is. Because I’ve been thinking about her that led me to think about Mother’s Day. For all you people who like to plan ahead grab these two printable cards. Both are designed in a 5×7 landscape format. You can print at home on cardstock or send them to your favorite professional print company. Click on the image to download. Enjoy!
This is one of my two favorite weekends of the year. You see every 6 months my church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, has a General Conference. At this conference the leaders of our church give us the messages that God would have us hear. I am always inspired. I must admit I also thoroughly enjoy having church beamed to me via Internet. Who doesn’t love church in their pajamas! Not having to get the three little monkeys ready to go for a 9am meeting is awesome too. The church broadcasts two sessions on Saturday and two sessions on Sunday. I only had the chance to watch one session today, and I am looking forward to watching more tomorrow. If you want to watch, visit http://lds.org/general-conference?lang=eng . You can watch live at 10am and 2pm MST or you can tune in whenever you like to watch the archives.
Last night when I was thinking about conference I felt the desire to create some products specifically for those of my faith. You don’t often see kits that include things for Young Women in Excellence, Priesthood ordinations, or Temple attendance. I want to make some great designs for these occasions. Today while listening to the Saturday morning session of conference I began working on a baptism scrapbook kit. I have grand plans to make several more kits as well as some beautiful wedding albums that center on the temple. Here’s a little preview of the papers for the Baptism kit.
What do you do when you are in a creative slump? I have so many ideas. I just can’t seem to get them out of my head and onto the screen. They just don’t come out the way I picture them. I feel frustrated, and honestly a bit lazy, and just don’t feel like putting the effort into really workng ou tthe kinks. So what do you do to get your head back in the game when you’re feeling a little out of it?
P.S. yes I missed Freebie Friday. That’s because my intended freebie is not as cute as I wanted it to be. I promise I will somehow pull myself out of this funk and there will be two freebies by this Friday!

I’ve been working on these cute animals for the last 2 days. They are going to be the main feature of a few kids themed albums I’m working on. I will also be offering them as a set of PSD work paths. You will be able to take the path and stroke it with your choice of brush (in these examples I used a brush called “stitch” by boyinpaw) or fill it with your choice of color or pattern. So far I have 26 different animal paths and I’m looking to add more! Stay tuned to see when the final product is available.
You can view all the completed animals so far by viewing the album on my Facebook profile here.
Freebie Friday WILL be a tradition around here. If I ever forget then I’ll make up for it, I promise. Today’s freebie is an album template that I created. It is called “Rockin” and is perfect for photo’s of any boy that loves guitars or rock and roll. This album includes 10 spreads in a 12×12 format. This is the full layered PSD file so it is completely editable. It is specifically formatted to fit White House Custom Color Album printing specs, but can be easily altered to use with any printer you like. Here are a few samples of what you will be downloading.
As with all my freebies feel free to use this template for both personal and commercial use. The only thing I ask is that you not share the digital file in its original form. Please send people to this blog to download their own copy. I would love any feedback you have to share with me. Thanks and enjoy your freebie!
